wedding florals - more bang for your buck!

So now that you have your bouquet style picked out it’s time to talk flowers! What are some popular wedding flower choices and how can you get the most bang for your buck?!

When it comes to wedding flowers the sky is the limit.. well actually your budget is the limit! There are so many choices and styles it’s easy to feel confused or overwhelmed! Some brides like to choose their flowers solely by color while others may have a sentimental place in their heart for a certain flower they loved as a kid. Roses always remind me of my nanas house and yes I always stop to smell them! Maybe you love the meaning of what certain flowers symbolize for your love and day of Union. Did you know peonies symbolize prosperity, good fortune, wealth and honor? You definitely need good wealth if you want peonies out of season, as they are a pricey flower as it is!

Some ways to save on your flower budget are to

  • pick a color theme rather than a certain flower.

  • Source locally and seasonally, this will not only help your budget but help the environment as well!

  • Take advantage of statement blooms that take up space like garden roses or hydrangeas

  • Incorporate more greenery

  • Use bud vases if you are set on using pricey statement flowers

Some of our favorite budget friendly flowers are:

Chrysanthemums or mums for short. I honestly was so surprised these flowers were much cheaper than I expected when I first bought them because they really are so beautiful! They also take up a lot of space, really getting you more bang for your buck!

Carnations are another great flower that is cost effective, the more I work with them the more I love them! They are such a gorgeous flower and they are really durable! Carnations will last weeks! We love “Antique Carnations”

Gladiolus are a long stem flower and look so elegant with just a few stems in a tall vase. These are great for the aisle or for decorating the reception!

Some of our favorite budget friendly greenery are:

Seeded Eucalyptus is very hardy and easy to work with. It’s seeds provide a nice added texture!
